Transformational Housing

God's Harbor Homes Program Overview

God's Harbor Homes is a Relational Ministry Program of Love INC - Love In the Name of Christ of Bedford County. Our mission for Transformational Housing is to mobilize the Church to transform the lives of those who are God sent, homeless, beaten down by the world and ready for the real life change, and mentor them to fulfill the Great Commission given by Jesus Christ.

And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and low I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen. Matthew 28:18-20

God's Harbor Homes program offers individuals/families a 3 - 6 month stay in transformational housing. Once in the home, residents are connected to:

  • Church Care Teams Hands-On Assistance
  • Case Management and Budgeting Service
  • Other Community Resources
  • A Church Family
  • Mentors

The Love INC Clearinghouse serves as the point of entry for all program referral. Additionally, Love INC provides training and ongoing support to partner churches/volunteers and works in collaboration with the Key Love INC Transformational Housing Representative in each geographic location in program oversight and implementation.

The residents are responsible to comply with God's Harbor Homes Rules and Regulations, actively work on their rogram Goals, regularly work with the LITH Committee, Mentor, and Key Area Team. Utilizing all available resources offered. The residents also donate funds that helps offset the cost of maintaining the homes. The homes are fully furnished so residents bring only what they will need for their temporary stay.
